Galileo Galilei, the inventor of the telescope, was not in fact the original designer of the apparatus. The concept for the telescope was actually invented some time prior to Galileo constructing his own version. With his deep interest in studying the sky and all its celestial objects, Galileo developed his own scope by piecing together information he heard about the existing version and experimenting with it. Thus, Galileo’s curiosity and creative instincts resulted in the creation of a device that shaped the course of history and the world. The spirit of Galileo’s innovative work is a clear example of the power of creativity and innovation. Although Galileo was not revered as the visionary he was during his lifetime, his work has and continues to influence the way that we perceive and examine our universe. Beginning with a 10-power telescope, Galileo managed to change the way people saw the world.
